Domestic filters

Domestic filters are designed to capture the grease vapors, steam and odors produced in home kitchens. Customers can choose from a vast range of domestic filters, of different types and with different shapes and characteristics.

Multi-layer filters

Multi-layer filters

Multi-layer filters are made from criss-crossing layers of mesh. They are typically used in domestic kitchen hoods and are held in place by filter-retaining grids. They are effective in separating grease from cooking vapors while causing only limited pressure drops. They can also be used as dust filters and as anti-intrusion barriers in industrial processes in general.

Frame filters

Frame filters

Frame filters are typically used in domestic kitchen hoods. Heavier-than-air grease particles strike and adhere to the layers of mesh inside the filters. Captured grease cannot therefore drip down on to food and equipment beneath. Frame filters are made from aluminum or stainless-steel frames containing up to 12 layers of mesh. Handles facilitate installation in and removal from the hood. Frame filters can also be used as dust filters in industrial processes in general. They are safe to use, can be regenerated, and are easy to wash in a dishwasher.

Grid filters

Grid filters

Grid filters are typically used in domestic kitchen hoods to filter grease vapors and oil mists. They consist of a stainless-steel sheet structure containing a filter element like that of a frame filter. The sheet-metal grid can be perforated as needed. Customers can specify their own identifying designs. Grid filters have a flat surface and a flush handle. They are particularly hard wearing, safe to use, can be regenerated, and are easy to wash in a dishwasher.

Slotted filters

Slotted filters

Slotted filters feature parallel, shaped slots, with those at the back offset with respect to those at the front. They are typically used in domestic kitchen hoods. These filters are made from two structural, stainless-steel sheets which combine to make them particularly hard wearing and easy to wash in a dishwasher.

Baffle filters

Baffle filters

Baffle filters are constructed from opposing baffles. They are typically used in professional kitchens but also found in domestic applications. They are suitable for filtering grease vapors and oil mists. Particles of grease are deposited on the internal surfaces of the specially shaped baffles and are captured by the filter. Baffle filters are installed at an angle that allows grease to drain into the hood’s collection channel. Baffle filters are safe and easy to use and do not allow grease to drip on to food or equipment beneath.

Special filters

Special filters

Special filters are made in the shapes and dimensions specified by the customer and can combine other materials as well as steel and aluminum. They are generally destined for special purposes like down draft, front cooking and similar applications.

Panel filters

Panel filters

Panel filters incorporate a synthetic filter panel enclosed between outer layers of mesh. They are suitable for filtering oil mists and vapors. They can be washed a number of times in a dishwasher but then have to be replaced.

Activated carbon cartridge filters

Activated carbon cartridge filters

Activated carbon cartridge filters consist of a frame with two outer layers of mesh that contain either activated carbon granules or washable, activated carbon panels. These filters are particularly suitable for filtering odors and VOCs. To achieve the highest levels of efficiency, they should be used in conjunction with a mesh or grid filter.

Zeolite cartridge filters

Zeolite cartridge filters

Zeolite cartridge filters consist of an aluminum or stainless-steel frame with two outer layers of mesh that contain a zeolite filter medium. Thanks to its unique structure, zeolite is ideal for absorbing vapor and humidity and drying air. Zeolite filters can be regenerated easily in an oven. To achieve the highest levels of efficiency in eliminating odors, these filters should be used in conjunction with an activated carbon filter even in domestic kitchens.

Combi filters

Combi filters

Combi filters come in frame, mesh, grid, activated carbon and zeolite variants. They are used in high-performance domestic hoods. Depending on how they are made, they are suitable for filtering grease particles, vapor, oil mists or unpleasant cooking odors, returning purified, healthy air to the room.
