Professional filters

Mesh filters are typically used in commercial kitchen hoods. Heavier-than-air grease particles strike and adhere to the layers of mesh inside the filters. Mesh filters are suitable for filtering of grease vapors and oil mists in the food industry. They can also be used as dust filters in industrial processes in general. These filters are installed at an angle, generally 45° to 60°, to allow grease to drain into the hood’s collection channel. Mesh filters are safe to use and easy to clean and do not allow grease to drip on to food or equipment beneath.

Thanks to the porous structure of carbon and the large surface area it presents, this type of filter is particularly suitable for eliminating odors and VOCs. To achieve the highest levels of efficiency, activated carbon cartridge filters should be used in conjunction with a mesh, baffle, or zeolite filter.

Zeolite cartridge filters consist of a zeolite filter medium within a stainless-steel filter body with a frame and two outer layers of expanded mesh. Thanks to the unique structure of zeolite, this type of filter is particularly suitable for absorbing vapor and drying air. Zeolite filters can be regenerated in an oven. In professional kitchens, they should be used in conjunction with an activated carbon filter to eliminate unpleasant odors.

Combi filters come in baffle, mesh, activated carbon and zeolite variants, and are typically used in commercial kitchen hoods. Depending on their component parts, they are ideal for filtering grease particles, vapors, oil mists or unpleasant odors in the food preparation industry. They can also be used in industrial processes in general. These filters are installed at an angle, generally 45° to 60°, to allow grease to drain into the hood’s collection channel.

Cylindrical filters consist of a galvanized steel cartridge filled with CG54 standard activated carbon granules. These filters are held in place by bayonet fittings and a seal. The top cap can be unscrewed to replace the granules. Cylindrical filters are particularly suitable for absorbing odors and gases, and for removing hydrocarbons, fumes and inorganic substances from the air.

These metal filters consist of outer layers of mesh with a synthetic filter panel inside. They are suitable for filtering oil mists and vapors in the food industry and are also widely used as dust filters in industrial processes in general.
